Carlo Goldoni (1707-1793) was a playwright, writer, screenwriter, author, and poet born in Venice. He became a citizen of several countries, including the French First Republic, Republic of Venice, Kingdom of France, and the Kingdom of France (1791–92). Goldoni passed away in Paris.
Goldoni was educated at several institutions, such as the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, University of Padua, and the University of Pavia. He worked under the pseudonym Polisseno Fegejo.
Some of Goldoni's notable works include "The Liar (short story)", "Servant of Two Masters", "Lo speziale", and "The Mistress of the Inn". He was also the author of various other works such as "Il teatro comico", "Il mondo della luna", and "Le donne vendicate".
