Carol Burnett is an American writer, screenwriter, comedian, television presenter, and singer . She was born on April 26, 1933, as Carol Creighton Burnett in San Antonio , and holds citizenship in the United States .

Burnett has two children, Carrie Hamilton and Erin Hamilton . Throughout her education, she attended various institutions, including: Hollywood High School, University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, and UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music .

Throughout her career, Carol Burnett has received multiple awards: the American Academy of Achievement’s Golden Plate Award and the Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album .
