Cere Network is a decentralized data cloud platform built on Polkadot, created for service data integration and data collaboration. It lets stakeholders own and manage their data use or deployment. Enterprises can plug-in existing applications and receive data, insights, and predictive analytics via DDC.
The network offers direct access to first-party customer data sets that are anonymized and encrypted (on an individual level) via blockchain and are exchanged with business partners and analyzed on Cere’s open and on-demand data marketplaces. This enables private data collaborations via Cere’s Open Data Marketplace (ODM).
The Decentralized Data Cloud (DDC) is a decentralized data protocol built on the Cere Network, which provides a way to store and retrieve data in a performant, usable, and trustless way. DDC is developed to allow Web3 dApps where users own the data, offering flexible data storage and management, secure and reliable data storing and validation for compliance, and built-in file sharing with serverless app hosting.
The Decentralized Content Delivery Network (dCDN) is developed to provide high availability and high speed regardless of where a service is being used. A dCDN node is a gateway from the web to the DDC and can act as a web server to provide content to regular HTTP clients, such as web browsers. The Cere Network dCDN is offered through decentralized CDN nodes, which are managed together as larger pools to offer a lightweight content delivery node with layers of caching for effective content delivery.
Freeport is an NFT minting suite intended to offer users an all-in-one solution-suit for NFTs built on the Cere Blockchain and integrating with the Cere Network DDC. Users of Freeport are intended to be able to mint NFTs on Polygon and attach assets, such as images, videos, and GIFs.
The Cere Network NFT Registry is a decentralized NFT data mapping for on-chain and off-chain data. It is developed to connect content from the DDC with immutable NFTs, with no possibility to store data off-chain using an ERC1155 NFT that belongs to an individual NFT collection item. The registry works to map individual NFT collection items and pieces of data in DDC and is usable on- and off-chain, based on the developer's needs.
The Cere Wallet is developed to allow users to transact, track, and manage their assets through DDC and Freeport, including managing NFT and other crypto assets and transacting cross-chain through the Cere Wallet. The wallet is built as a standalone web application that can be integrated into the Freeport, DDC, and Cere Blockchain networks, provides the same basic functionality of any wallet, but is developed to be a multi-network wallet and accessible to people who are not otherwise familiar with cryptocurrency wallets.
Cere Network's native token is CERE. The token's major functions include the following:
- Consensus Participation: Validators and node operators are able to stake CERE to get rewards.
- SaaS DeFi Utility: It is used to fuel the Cere Marketplaces and is the main utility token powering the Decentralized Data Cloud.
- Network Governance: CERE holders get voting rights via the Cere’s foundation and Cere’s ecosystem on governance and potential development.
