Charles-François Daubigny (1817-1878) was a French painter best known for his landscape paintings. He was born and died in Paris. Daubigny was a founder of the Barbizon school, a group of artists known for their naturalistic approach to painting.
His father, Edmé-François Daubigny, was also a painter. Charles-François had a child named Karl Daubigny, who became an artist as well.
Some of Daubigny's notable works include "Landscape with a Sunlit Stream", "On the Oise", "The Dunes at Camiers", and "The Pond at Gylieu". He was also the owner of "The Harvest (Charles-Francois Daubigny)".
