Medical scientist, co-discoverer of insulin
Charles Best (1899-1978) was a Canadian medical scientist, physician, and biochemist. He was born in Maine and held Canadian citizenship. Best received his education at the University of Toronto. Throughout his career, he made significant contributions to the field of medicine and biochemistry. He passed away in Toronto in 1978. Best was honored as a 2004 National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductee for his work.
