Charles Coulson (1910-1974) was a mathematician and chemist born in Dudley, United Kingdom. He held dual occupations as a mathematician and chemist. His education included attending the University of Cambridge, Trinity College, Cambridge, and Clifton College. In his career, Coulson worked under the supervision of Ralph H. Fowler as his doctoral advisor. Coulson was a mentor to several doctoral students, including Christopher Longuet-Higgins, Raphael David Levine, Robert Gerber, and Akshay Chandra Sharma. He passed away in Oxford, United Kingdom.
