Charles G. Dawes was born on August 27, 1865, in Marietta, Ohio, and was a citizen of the United States. He held various occupations, including politician, diplomat, pianist, writer, economist, songwriter, lawyer, and composer.
Dawes was educated at Marietta College, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Cincinnati College of Law. His parents were Rufus Dawes and Mary Maxwell Gates.
In recognition of his achievements, Dawes was awarded the 1925 Nobel Peace Prize. He passed away on April 23, 1951, in Evanston, Illinois.
