Charles Goodyear was born on December 29, 1800, in New Haven, Connecticut. He was an American chemist, engineer, and businessperson, and held citizenship in the United States. Goodyear attended Union College for his education.
During his career, Goodyear made significant contributions to the field of chemistry and engineering. In recognition of his work, he was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1976.
Charles Goodyear passed away on July 1, 1860, in New York City.
