Charles Rolls was born on August 27, 1877, in Berkeley Square, and held citizenship in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. He was educated at Eton College and Trinity College, Cambridge. Rolls was an engineer and aircraft pilot. He was the child of Georgiana Rolls, Baroness Llangattock, and John Rolls, 1st Baron Llangattock.
Charles Rolls is best known for co-founding Rolls-Royce, a prominent British luxury automobile and aero engine manufacturing company. He passed away on July 12, 1910, in Bournemouth.
