British physicist
Charles Wheatstone (6 February 1802 – 19 October 1875) was a British scientist and inventor, born in Gloucester. He held a variety of occupations, including mathematician, physicist, engineer, and photographer. He was a citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and died in Paris.
Throughout his career, Wheatstone received several prestigious awards such as the Royal Medal, Albert Medal (Royal Society of Arts), and Copley Medal.
