Margrave of brandenburg-bayreuth
Christian, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, was born on January 30, 1581 in Cölln. He was a member of the House of Hohenzollern and the child of John George, Elector of Brandenburg, and Elisabeth of Anhalt-Zerbst. He held the alias, Margrave of Brandenburg-Kulmbach, which was later renamed Brandenburg-Bayreuth. Christian had various occupations, including being a politician and king.
Christian was the father of four children: Anna Maria von Eggenberg, née Brandenburg-Bayreuth; Margravine Magdalene Sibylle of Brandenburg-Bayreuth; Erdmann August of Brandenburg-Bayreuth; and Georg Albrecht, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth-Kulmbach. He passed away on June 9, 1655, in Bayreuth.
