Chung Ju-yung (Born November 25, 1915, in Tongchon County; died March 21, 2001, in Songpa District) was a South Korean businessman and politician who held dual citizenship in both South Korea and North Korea. Chung Ju-yung founded Hyundai, a conglomerate that includes Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Hyundai Heavy Industries, and the Hyundai Motor Company.
Chung Ju-yung was educated at The George Washington University and Waseda University. He was the father of Chung Mong-hun, Chung Mong-koo, and Chung Mong-joon. Chung Ju-yung was also known as チョン・ジュヨン.
