Cigent has determined that the best possible way to prevent sensitive data from being breached is by embedding its cybersecurity solution closest to the data it is trying to protect, at the storage device level. Cigent created a prototype Solid State Drive (SSD) with cybersecurity firmware embedded within the SSD that is able to log all data access, lock down user selected data when a threat is detected, remove data with a simple movement of the device, lock down user selected data when the storage device is removed from the computer and many more unique features. Our proposal takes our current commercial offering, which is being sold to the public and nongovernmental entities for nongovernmental purposes, and creates a similar solution for the USAF. Cigent partnered with Phison Electronics LTD., the largest SSD controller manufacturer in the world, and created the world's first cybersecure SSD. Cigent estimates there is a $10B market for a cybersecure storage device that can detect and protect against today's threats (ransomware, hackers, etc.) and tomorrow's threats which have yet to be developed. Dell and Lenovo have already conducted BETA testing and are scheduled to begin final qualification testing of the software solution Q2 2020. We also recently signed an agreement with Vitality insurance to offer our solution as part of their cyber insurance platform.
