CisLunar Industries

CisLunar Industries was founded in August 2017 by alumni of the International Space University who met during the 2017 Space Studies Program in Cork, Ireland. The company is developing and building space technology to recycle space debris for space manufacturing. The name refers to the space between the Earth and the moon, where there is a lot of debris due to satellites and broken rockets. CisLunar Industries is one of the first institutional members of the Moon Village Association.

CisLunar Industries (CLI) is developing Space Foundries, an orbital platform for in-space processing and refining capability for structural materials, such as metals.The metals that are recycled are intended to be reused for new space equipment. In order to create the recycling station in the cislunar section of space, the company is developing it in three stages: an prototype on Earth, a small foundry that is meant to function in low-Earth orbit, and finally, the full-scale foundry in geosynchronous orbit.
