Clark Gable (born William Clark Gable on February 1, 1901, in Cadiz, Ohio) was a United States citizen and actor known for his work in films and as a producer. He had a number of aliases, including Gabe, The King, The King of Hollywood, and William Clark Gable.
Gable was the father of three children: Judy Lewis, John Allen Gable, and Bunker Spreckels. He was married to Kay Williams. Apart from his acting career, Gable served in World War II and was awarded several medals for his service. These awards included the European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross (USA), World War II Victory Medal (United States), and Air Medal (USA).
Clark Gable passed away on November 16, 1960, in Los Angeles.
