French physicist
Claude Cohen-Tannoudji is a physicist born on April 1, 1933, in Constantine, Algeria. He holds French citizenship and has had a significant career in the field of physics. Cohen-Tannoudji studied under Alfred Kastler, his doctoral advisor, and served as the doctoral advisor for Serge Haroche.
Cohen-Tannoudji was awarded the 1997 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work.
