Claude of France was born on October 13, 1499, in Romorantin-Lanthenay, and held French citizenship. She was the daughter of King Louis XII of France and Anne of Brittany. Claude was Queen consort and also held occupations as a politician and Duke. She is known for being the ruling Duchess of Brittany from 1514 until her death in 1524.
Claude had several children, including Henry II of France, Madeleine of Valois, Margaret of France, Duchess of Berry, Charles II de Valois, Duke of Orléans, Francis III, Duke of Brittany, and Charlotte of France. She was the mother of Henry II of France and mother of Charles II de Valois, Duke of Orléans, Charlotte of France, Margaret of France, Duchess of Berry, and Francis III, Duke of Brittany.
Claude of France died in Blois on July 20, 1524.
