Common (rapper)

Common, born Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr. on March 13, 1972, is a rapper, singer, writer, and music producer from Chicago, United States. Throughout his career, he explored various genres, including jazz rap, neo-soul, contemporary R&B, pop-rap, hip hop music, alternative hip hop, alternative R&B, pop music, rapping, trip hop, and conscious hip hop. Common's artistic talents extend beyond the music industry, as he is also a poet, musician, model, songwriter, film producer, and record producer.

He attended Southern University and A&M College, Luther High School South, and Florida A&M University. Common is the son of Lonnie Lynn and currently resides in Chicago.
