Conolophus (lat. Conolophus) - Rod Iguan, who lives exclusively in the Galapagos Islands. Close relatives of the sea iguan, but differ from them more elongated head, a short clumsy torso with a weakly pronounced spinal ridge, as well as shorter, rounded in cross section. There are no swimming membranes on the paws. The top side of the body of brick-red color, on the sides of turning into dark brown. Head painting lemon-yellow, light orange or yellowish.
