Connecticut College is a private educational institution located in New London, Connecticut, United States. It was founded in 1911 and operates in the industries of education, higher education, and university. The college is affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the Council of Independent Colleges, and the National Athletic Association. Connecticut College has been accredited by the American Chemical Society and the New England Commission of Higher Education.
The college's motto is "Tanquam lignum quod plantatum est secus decursus aquarum". As an organization and an educational institute, Connecticut College has been granted two patents. It also has two subsidiaries, the Connecticut College Black Womanhood Conference and the Connecticut College Arboretum.
