Constantius II was a politician born on August 7, 317, in Sirmium (now part of present-day Serbia). He held citizenship in both Ancient Rome and the Byzantine Empire. Constantius II was the son of Constantine the Great and Fausta. His father, Constantine the Great, was a notable Roman emperor while his mother, Fausta, was an empress and the daughter of Emperor Maximian.
Constantius II had several relatives, including Crispus, Constans, Constantine II (emperor), Constantina, and Helena (wife of Julian). He was married to Eusebia, an empress, and had a child named Flavia Maxima Constantia.
Throughout his life, Constantius II held various roles in the politics of the Roman Empire and the Byzantine Empire. He eventually died on November 3, 361, in Cilicia (now part of present-day Turkey).
