German film director
Curtis Bernhardt, born as Kurt Bernhardt on April 15, 1899, in Worms, Germany, was a German-American screenwriter and film director. He held dual citizenship in both the United States and Germany.
Bernhardt directed numerous films during his career, including "Interrupted Melody", "The Tunnel", and "High Wall", among many others. He was also the author of "The Prince of Rogues".
Bernhardt passed away on February 22, 1981, in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.
