Curtis Hanson (1945-2016) was an American film director, comedian, screenwriter, and film producer, known for his diverse career in the entertainment industry-. Hanson held United States citizenship and was educated at Montclair College Preparatory School. He passed away in Los Angeles in 2016.
Hanson's directing credits include successful films such as "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle", "L.A. Confidential" (1997), and "8 Mile" (2002). In addition to directing, he also held board of director positions for the films "In Her Shoes" and "L.A. Confidential" , and was the creator of both these films.
