Daniel Alegre is a Dallas-based businessperson and the CEO of Yuga Labs. Alegre began his career by working for Bertelsmann and BMG Music, both in a leadership capacity. He started working for Google in 2004, acting as vice president and launching operations in Latin America. He continued working for the company for another fifteen years in the roles of president of Google's Asia-Pacific region as well as president of global and strategic partnerships and president of global retail, shopping, and payments.
In April 2020, Alegre became president and chief operating officer of gaming company Activision Blizzard, known for its successful games Call of Duty and World of Warcraft. It was announced in late 2022 that Alegre would become the CEO of non-fungible tokens creator Yuga Labs, known for its NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club. He has worked in countries throughout the world, including Germany, Japan, China, the United States, and Singapore.
Alegre holds multiple degrees, including a bachelor's degree from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, a master's degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a Juris doctor from Harvard Law School.
