Daniel Pedoe (born Daniel Cohen) was a British mathematician, known for his work in geometry and specifically for Pedoe's inequality. He was born on October 29, 1910, in London and passed away on October 27, 1998, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Pedoe held citizenship in the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
He specialized in mathematics as an occupation and pursued his education at several prestigious institutions, including Magdalene College, Cambridge; Institute for Advanced Study; University of Cambridge; and Central Foundation Boys' School. Pedoe's doctoral advisor was H. F. Baker, and one of his notable doctoral students was Peter Lancaster.
Daniel Pedoe had a child named Dan Tunstall Pedoe and made a mark in the field of mathematics through his notable work, Pedoe's inequality.
