Daqri is a technology company making augmented reality workplace productivity software tools and hardware products that is headquartered in Los Angeles, California and was founded in 2010 by Brian Mullins, Gaia Dempsey, and Phillip Tolk.
On March 28, 2016 Darqi announced acquiring Two Trees, a company making holographic lens technology, for an undisclosed amount of money. All Two Trees Photonics employees at the time of the acquisition will keep their jobs are work with Darqi to help develop holographic technology.
On March 1, 2016 Darqi announced acquiring 1066 Labs, a head-mounted display manufacturer, for an undisclosed amount of money. The CEO and co-founder of Darqi, Brian Mullins, made the following statement regarding the companies acquisition of 1066 Labs:
We have been impressed with what 1066 Labs has built to date and the team there is world class when it comes to innovations in head-mounted display hardware.
On March 16, 2016 Darqi announced raising $130 million in funding from Tarsadia Investments (lead investor) and other investors.
