Established in 2009, Dataminr is an Artificial Intelligence platform that detects early signs of high-impact events and emerging risks from publicly available information.
Dataminr’s AI platform utilizes data from about 100,000 public sources to provide global and local information in real time. The platform processes billions of public data inputs per day in about one hundred languages and in multiple formats like text, image, video, streaming machine data from sensors, and multi-modal combinations of these formats.
Advanced geovisualization offers visual and geographic context about emerging risks as they happen, and intuitive incident management assists teams with collaboration and action taking throughout high-impact events. With actionable alerts, users get useful context to each alert. They can add relevant enterprise data, such as busy hours or contact information, to an asset location. With the Hub for Dataminr Pulse, users can create and manage groups of end users as well as upload and manage as different locations they need to safeguard. They can organize their locations into recognizable groups that correspond to how they manage their business and also automatically update groups by editing them in the Hub.
Dataminr’s First Alert product for the public sector alerts first responders to breaking events to facilitate real-time response. It is used by the New York City Emergency Management Department.
Reporters receive real-time alerts from Dataminr’s 200,000 public information sources, which include social media platforms like Twitter, Reddit, IoT sensor data, audio transmissions, and the deep and dark web. It is used by Aljazeera, CNN, Washington Post, Daily Mail, and Deutsche Welle.
