David M. Potter

David M. Potter (1910-1971) was an American historian known for his work in the field. Born on June 12, 1910, in Augusta, Georgia, Potter held citizenship in the United States. He was educated at the Academy of Richmond County and later attended Yale University, where he worked on his doctoral studies under the supervision of Leonard Woods Labaree.

Throughout his career, Potter was an influential educator and mentor. Among his notable doctoral students were Karen Carr and Louis Galambos. David M. Potter passed away on February 18, 1971.
