David Ogilvy, born on June 23, 1911, in West Horsley, United Kingdom, was a businessman known as the "Father of Advertising". He held multiple occupations, including writer, economist, entrepreneur, and businessperson. Ogilvy was the founder of Ogilvy & Mather, a multinational advertising and marketing agency. He held citizenship in the United Kingdom.
Ogilvy received his education from various institutions, including Fettes College, St Cyprian's School, University of Oxford, and Christ Church. He was the child of Donald Ogilvy.
David Ogilvy passed away on July 21, 1999, at the Château de Touffou in France.
