The Defense Innovation Board (DIB) is Federal Advisory Committee Act organization that gives suggestions to senior leaders of the United States Department of Defense (DOD) regarding how to integrate innovative technologies into the United States military. Such technologies that have been discussed include artificial intelligence, software, data, digital modernization, and human capital. The board consists of three sub-committees: Science & Technology (S&T); Workforce, Behavior and Culture (WBC), and Space Advisory Committee (SAC). People who comprise the board and sub-committees are generally business people and academics who focus on technology innovation in their respective fields.
