Dennis Hopper (1936-2010) was an American film director, actor, photographer, screenwriter, writer, and artist. He was born in Dodge City, Kansas, and held U.S. citizenship. Hopper first began his career in 1954, with his latest release in 2010.
He was educated at the Actors Studio, Kansas City Art Institute, Helix High School, and Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Hopper primarily worked in genres such as drama, adventure, fantasy, thriller, and romance.
Dennis Hopper's notable works include "Rebel Without an Ideal," "Giant," "Night Tide," "The Sons of Katie Elder," "The Indian Runner," and "Blue Velvet".
