Derwent Coleridge (1800-1883) was a British writer and educator, born in Keswick, Cumbria. He was the son of prominent poet and philosopher Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Derwent Coleridge held citizenship in both the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the Kingdom of Great Britain.
Coleridge was educated at St John's College, Cambridge. He went on to contribute in the field of education throughout his career. He passed away on March 28, 1883, in Torquay.
