Domenico Modugno

Domenico Modugno was born on January 9, 1928, in Polignano a Mare, and held Italian citizenship. He was educated at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. Modugno had multiple occupations, including politician, human rights activist, screenwriter, songwriter, singer-songwriter, and film director. He worked in various genres such as pop music and contemporary folk music.

Domenico Modugno passed away on August 6, 1994 in Lampedusa. Throughout his career, he received prestigious awards, including Grammy Awards and the Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
