Donald Sutherland, born on July 17, 1935, is a Canadian actor, film producer, spokesperson, and character actor. Sutherland was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, and holds Canadian citizenship. He is known for his extensive film career spanning over six decades.
Sutherland attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Victoria University in Toronto, Victoria College, British Columbia, and the University of Toronto. He is married to Francine Racette and is the father of Kiefer Sutherland, Rossif Sutherland, Rachel Sutherland, and Angus Sutherland.
Sutherland has appeared in numerous films and television shows, with notable works including "The Dirty Dozen," "MS*H," "Ordinary People," "Cold Mountain," "Pride & Prejudice (film)," "The Hunger Games (film)," and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2".
