Donut is a developer of a portfolio management platform and mobile application intended to streamline the management of cryptocurrency portfolios. They offer users a mobile application to help users save money and invest money into cryptocurrencies.
The company's platform aggregates private keys, manages wallet addresses and provides summaries of white papers, enabling individuals to invest on a platform that is accessible, educational and transparent. Besides investing in cryptocurrencies, Donut also offers "Donut Savings". This is a high interest savings account, offering 2.78%.
Donut charges a 2.5% fee for their operations and trading costs. And, with FDIC, they offer up to $250,000 USD insurance on any fiat currency held in a users Donut wallet.
Donut offers a "round-up" feature, which allows users to round their purchases up to the next dollar amount and save the spare change through the app. This spare change can be added to their savings account or invested in cryptocurrencies.
They also offer more traditional scheduled and "Quick Buy" features which allow users to set recurring investments on a weekly or monthly basis or allow users to make a single purchase of cryptocurrency at a time, respectively.
Donut also offers users a chance to share their Donut handle with friends to invite them to sign up. When they sign up and start investing, referring friends earn a $10 reward.
Donut says they support over 1600 banks and financial providers to help users move funds in and out of their Donut account. These include Visa, Bank of America, Chase Bank, Capital One, Wells Fargo, Chime Bank, American Express, MasterCard, and Goldman Sachs.
