Dorothea of Denmark, Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg, was born on June 29, 1546, in Kolding. She held citizenship in Norway, Denmark, and Germany. Dorothea was the daughter of Christian III of Denmark and Dorothea of Saxe-Lauenburg. She passed away on January 6, 1617, in Celle.
Throughout her life, Dorothea held various roles, such as a politician, queen consort, and regent. She was known as the Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg from 1561 until 1592 and served as regent for her son George from 1592 to 1596.
