Doshisha University

Doshisha University, also known as 同志社大学, is a private educational institute that offers higher education in Kyoto, Japan. Founded by Joseph Hardy Neesima in 1920, the university is based in the education industry. With a motto "Veritas Liberabit Vos", the institution is affiliated with the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia and the Open Education Consortium.

As an organization and educational institute, Doshisha University holds accreditations from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan and the Japan University Accreditation Association.
