Drive.ai is a software startup company that creates artificial intelligence software for autonomous vehicles using deep learning. The company's deep learning algorithm simulates the brain's ability to learn, recognize and make decisions and is used in autonomous vehicles.
Drive.ai's software is created similar to how people are trained to drive. Deep learning systems thrive on data. The system is trained by providing a host of examples of situations, objects, and scenarios and then letting it infer how the rules it learns might apply to novel or unexpected experiences. The more data an algorithm is fed with, the better it will be able to recognize and generalize the patterns it needs to understand to drive safely.
Experts in deep learning from the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of Stanford University Brody Huval, Carol Reiley, Fred Rosenzweig, Joel Pazhayampallil, Sameep Tandon, Tao Wang and William Song founded Drive.ai in 2015. It is based in Mountain View, California.
