Dropshyp

Dropshyp is a San Jose based e-commerce company that provides a platform which provides large-, medium-, and small-scale businesses and independent entrepreneurs with the ability to connect with suppliers in East Asia, West Africa, and Arabia with its main USP being drop-shipping.

Dropshyp was founded by Joe Todd and Terry McGinnis as a subsidiary of their larger company, Shoppable Inc. Previous to Dropshyp, Terry McGinnis and Joe Todd launched Rydable, which was an exclusive retailer of Samsung powered eSkateboards, eBikes, and eScooters. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rydable failed, and the founding team plus Joe Todd pivoted and started Shoppable and Dropshyp.

The company's main aim is to connect smaller businesses and entrepreneurs to suppliers across the world to provide drop-shipping and wholesale services. In a post made on Dropshyp's official blog, CEO of Dropshyp and Shoppable, Inc., Terry McGinnis, suggested that Dropshyp and its products are there to provide carefully crafted tools so anyone willing could start their own business and recover post COVID-19 pandemic.

As of 2020, Dropshyp has partnered with Jepto to bolster its product line with Machine Learning and Twilio to provide OTP and communication services for its customers.
