Dylan Walsh is an American actor and writer born November 17, 1963, in Los Angeles, California. Walsh is known for Congo (1995), The Stepfather (2009), and Nip/Tuck (2003). As a child, Walsh lived in Kenya, India, Indonesia, and Pakistan. After age ten, his family moved to the states, where they settled in Virginia.
He has acted in different features, including We Were Soldiers (2002), starring Mel Gibson, and The Lake House, starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. On television, Walsh appeared as a recurring guest on Kate and Allie and as a series regular on Gabriel's Fire.
He is also recognized as Officer Jimmy Doyle in Stephen Bochco's Brooklyn South. In 2014, he starred in Authors Anonymous. In July 2003, Walsh divorced his first wife, actress Melora Walters, with whom he has two children. In November 2003, the actress Joanna Going gave birth to their daughter, Stella. Walsh married Going in October 2004.
