SBIR/STTR Award attributes
This proposed SBIR Phase II effort continues the development of rugged MEMS inertial measurement units (IMUs) for operation in high shock and vibration operation environment of missiles, and other military and commercial platforms with harsh environment characteristics. The primary outcome of the proposed effort is a 6-axis highly-reliable and durable tactical-grade MEMS IMU with inclusion of vibration and shock isolation that is 10x improved in size, weight and power (SWaP) compared with currently available IMUs for missile applications.
