EdVisto prototype ”MoViE - Mobile Video Experience” created as research platform to study how people create stories, share and learn with mobile social media.
2012-2013/Prototype in Ecosystem
Prototype used to advance top-notch research about new ecosystems of learning, emphasizing Boundless Learning and Digital Storytelling.
2014/Prototype Research Published
The books ”The Boundless Classroom” and ”Finnish Innovations and Technologies in School” published with case studies showing that video storytelling with the EdVisto prototype increases motivation and student engagement significantly.
Oct. 2014/Commercialization Project
Commercialization project initiated and present CEO hired to validate the commercial viability of the ”EdVisto” concept.
Feb. 2015/Proof of Concept
Proof of concept validated for a commercial product. Prototype user interface and functionality rejected in favor of a completely new user interface design.
May 2015/Early Mockup Validated
First design mockups for new user interface validated. Initial test users on board for commercial pilot trials.
