Edgehog

Edgehog is a company that makes omni-directional anti-reflection (OAR) glass for use in solar panels, as well as for screen displays, cameras, and other applications. Edgehog was founded in Montreal in 2018. The company's stated mission is "to make sustainable energy abundant and available to everyone." Edgehog's goal is to decrease the amount of global GHG emissions by one hundred megatonnes by the year 2030. Edgehog states that a single installation of its Eluminar™-enhanced solar panel is the equivalent of planting fifteen trees.

Edgehog's anti-reflection glass is able to be used for several applications. The general properties of the glass reduce the effects of sun glare, haze, and reflections to increase visibility, even in intense light. Edgehog's glass is used in phone and computer screens, cameras, optical sensors, high-energy lasers, and solar panels (both regular panels and ones designed for use in space). When used in solar panels, the OAR glass provides a higher energy output than conventional anti-reflection glass.
