British film director
Edmund Goulding (born 20 March 1891, Feltham) was an English-born film director, producer, screenwriter, and songwriter. He held dual citizenship in the United States and United Kingdom.
Among the numerous films that Goulding directed are "The Devil's Holiday", "The Trespasser", "Sally, Irene and Mary", "A Night at the Opera", "Dark Victory", "Nightmare Alley", and "The Dawn Patrol". Additionally, he authored screenplays for films such as "Tol'able David" and "A Lady of Chance".
Goulding passed away at the age of 68 in Los Angeles on 24 December 1959.
