Edward Hyde, 1st Earl of Clarendon (1609-1674) was a person of diverse occupations – a historian, politician, and judge. Born in London, United Kingdom, on February 18, 1609, he later attended the University of Oxford for his education. Edward Hyde, also known as the father of Anne Hyde, had a notable family, being the child of Frances Hyde, Countess of Clarendon.
Throughout his life, Edward Hyde held various influential positions in politics and law. He eventually passed away in Rouen on December 9, 1674.
