Edward Routh

Edward Routh (born 20 January 1831, Quebec City - died 7 June 1907, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire) was a mathematician from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. He was educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge. Routh's occupation was listed as a mathematician.

Being an influential figure in mathematics, Routh mentored notable doctoral students like John Hopkinson, William Henry Bragg, and Bragg's son, also named William Henry who followed in his father's footsteps.
