Edward Stratemeyer (1862-1930) was an American writer, novelist, businessperson, and book packager, best known for founding the Stratemeyer Syndicate and creating The Hardy Boys. He was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and held citizenship in the United States. Stratemeyer wrote under the pseudonym Arthur M. Winfield and produced notable works such as Bomba, the Jungle Boy. He passed away in Newark, New Jersey at the age of 68.
