Eero is a San Francisco-based company wireless Internet company with products for household use of Wi-Fi. The company was acquired by Amazon in 2019 for $97 million.
The company creates various products that allow for Wi-Fi to reach all areas of a household. The products are intended to be used throughout the house and are particularly useful in deadzones, where its wireless routers can usually extend Wi-Fi services. Customers can order the product and download the company's application. Then, the eero device is plugged into the customer's existing modem and the customer is given information about where to place the eero devices for optimal Wi-Fi coverage in the house. The products use TrueMesh technology that consists of routing algorithms and the analyzation of real-time date to keep the speed of the Wi-Fi consistent.
eero offers multiple products to its customers, including the eero, eero Pro 6, eero 6, eero 6 extender, and eero Beacon. Customers can also buy products in packs including devices from eero's parent company, Amazon, such as the Amazon Echo Dot.
