Eleanor of Castile, Queen of Navarre, born on January 1, 1363, was a Spanish royal and the queen consort of Navarre, also known as Queen of Navarre. She was the daughter of John II of Aragon and Navarre and Juana Manuel. Eleanor was born in Loiret, a region within the Crown of Castile.
Eleanor of Castile was married to Charles III of Navarre and together, they had four children: Blanche I of Navarre, Isabella of Navarre, Countess of Armagnac, Beatrice of Navarre, Countess of La Marche, and Joan, Heiress of Navarre.
In addition to her role as queen consort, Eleanor also acted as a politician and regent of Navarre during the absence of her spouse in France. Eleanor of Castile passed away on March 5, 1416 in Olite.
