Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC is one of the largest companies in Russia on manufacturing of power electrical equipment. The Company manufactures power generating equipment and engines for fuel and energy complex, metallurgical, chemical, nuclear, oil and gas and other branches of industry.
The company develops, breaks in and manufactures more than 2,500 items and sizes of engines and generators.
Full Cycle Industrial Complex (Lysva) is equipped with up-to-date equipment allowing annually manufacturing over 150 medium and large electrical machines within the wide range of capacities from 6.5 kW to 300 MW. The finished products shall pass the full cycle of tests in the own test center.
Engineering and Technical Centers in Lysva, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk allow solving the most complex tasks in designing of up-to-date electrical equipment and manufacturing of electrical complexes.
Service Center (Lysva) renders the complex of services on supervision for installation and commissioning of electrical machines manufactured by the plant. It provides after-sales service for equipment within the whole life cycle.
Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC works in close partnership with leading electrical and machine-building companies in Russia and in the world: Tyazhmash JSC, UEC Gas Turbines JSC, UEC Aviadvigatel JSC, Atomenergomash JSC, PSC RPA Iskra, as well as General Electric, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, etc.
The electric machinery by Privod LLC is in stable demand in Russia and abroad. The company's products are supplied and used in more than 40 countries around the globe — at power facilities in Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East and Latin America.
Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC (the successor to Lysva Machinery Works Privod) has a long history that lasts for 70 years. The company was founded in the era of forming and re-equipping of the basic industries in the Russian economy in the middle of the last century. The Board of the USSR Electric Industry People's Commissariat approved the plan to construct the Lysva Turbine Generator Plant on May 22nd, 1939. However, the Great Patriotic War intervened into the plans: it was only in December 1951 that the first production building was commissioned and on October 5, 1952 the foundry shop produced the first casting.
The economic recovered in a severe environment, since the country suffered extensive losses. The national economy was in a great need for a wide range of new powerful electric machinery. The plant had a task to put the capacities into operation to produce turbogenerators (with single capacity up to 25 thousand kW) as soon as possible and then organize production of synchronous motors for compressor units, hydraulic generators (from 10 to 25 thousand kW), as well as powerful asynchronous motors.
The entire subsequent history of Lysva Plant consisted of a gradual execution of the large-scale state plans. Each of the next decades became an important step towards the production improvement.
Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC is a full-cycle production company. A common industrial site provides efficient cooperation of all subsidiaries to create machinery that meets the highest customer requirements.
The manufacturing process is carried out in a full-cycle production facility with a single process chain, including welding and blank preparation, casting and stamping, insulation and winding, mechanical and assembly areas, as well as the testing center.
The plant counts over 2,000 units of industrial equipment. Over 100 units are unique machines, high-technology processing systems made by well-known global manufacturers, such as Vincent Industrie (France), Micamation (Switzerland), Steremat Elektrowarme (Germany) and many others.
Blank Production
The company manufactures active iron sheets for all types of electrical machinery inhouse. A large machine pool for sheet metal cutting and stamping ensures minimum production time at the highest precision level. The stock of blanks reduces the manufacturing cycle and guarantees quick respond to the customer requirements.
Welding Production
The company produces welded metal structures of any category weighing up to 50 tons, including explosion-protected ones. All welded products are subjected to quality control by dye penetrant inspection and ultrasonic seam inspection.
Insulation and Winding Production
Equipped with modern high-tech equipment made by the world's leading manufacturers used to perform the full range of winding operations for stators and rotors for the manufactured electrical machinery in order to carry out the insulation, molding and soldering operations inhouse.
Mechanical Production
The wide machine pool for mechanical production allows processing the parts and units for electrical machinery weighing up to 50 tons with overall dimensions of up to 6 meters. CNC machines ensure high product processing quality. The mechanical production is equipped with multi-functional machines giving the opportunity to perform several operations simultaneously. Inhouse tool-making department produces the necessary tools and accessories.
Assembly Production
Equipped with the required equipment ensuring the precise assembly of all machinery sizes. The perfect electrical machinery assembly is the result of a well-coordinated work of the staff: assemblers, solderers, slingers and crane operators.
Test Centre
It includes three test benches, acceleration and balancing complex and intermediate inspection points. The testing programs and procedures are developed according to the customer requirements. The center performs tests for the whole product range: generators, synchronous and asynchronous motors, etc. It also has equipment for direct starting of electric machinery with capacity of up to 8 MW inclusively.
The design and engineering division of Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC has a considerable experience in designing and upgrading the various types of electric machinery. The company is mainly focused on:
- development of design, process and technical documentation for a wide range of electric machinery;
- technical assistance in equipment manufacturing process;
- upgrading the existing equipment;
- supporting Customers in equipment operation and repair;
- field supervision during equipment manufacturing and installation;
- development of equipment detailed design to be approved by the General Designer.
Designing is made using the dedicated 2D and 3D modeling programs Compass, SolidWorks, as well as automated design systems Compass-Graphic, Compass Manager, Vertical, and Lotsman:PLM.
Electromagnetic, thermal, ventilation and mechanical calculations are performed in ANSYS software environment supplemented with in-house procedures and programs allowing predicting the various operation modes both on the test bench and in real operation conditions.
The procedures and programs are developed based on comparison and analysis of a large number of test results and calculated data accumulated over the entire history of specialists’ work. The calculation programs are continuously updated and adapted to match the advanced hardware and software technologies.
Engineering and Technical Centers of Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC (Lysva, Perm Region)
Focuses on designing, modernization and field supervision over the serial production of electrical machinery: turbo generators with capacity of up to 63 MW to be used with gas and steam turbines; synchronous industrial and explosion-proof motors with capacity of up to 12.5 MW; explosion-proof and general industrial asynchronous motors of horizontal and vertical versions with capacity of up to 2,500 kW, traction electrical equipment. The engineers of the center design motors for new market segments: DARB series asynchronous variable frequency motors with capacity of 1,200 kW for the drive of drilling rigs; DARG series motors with capacity of 3,500 kW for drive of marine propellers.
Engineering Center of Privod LLC (St. Petersburg)
It is a creator for the innovative range of turbogenerators with tubular body (TTK series) with capacity of up to 225 MW to be used with steam or gas turbines. The design feature of the unit is location inside a tubular body allowing significantly reducing the weight and sizes, vibration and noise load, as well as improving margin by temperature loads.
Engineering Center of Privod LLC (Novosibirsk)
It designs the range of explosion-proof asynchronous motors with capacity of up to 12.5 MW and vertical asynchronous 8 MW motors for the main circulation pumps at nuclear power plants.
Engineering Center of Privod LLC (Ekaterinburg)
It focuses on designing of new and major overhaul of the existing hydraulic generators with capacity from 1 to 300 MW. This subsidiary has over 60-year experience in designing of hydraulic generators with a wide range of capacities and rotation speeds. Hydraulic generators developed by the designers of the center are successfully used at numerous hydro-electric power plants both in Russia and abroad.
